A Lil' 'Bout Dudevid
Name: Dudevid (David Foster)
Born: L+D in Luton
Age: 15
When did you start skateboarding?
I started.. erm... 'bout two and lil bit years ago.. on boxing day 2001.... it was on my bro's StarBug deck, was a lil' haggard but it was a skateboard, and i gotta thank my bro for that one, 3 days later i bought my 1st deck.... Hudson
Why did you start and what is the reason you still do it?
Well, my cousin told me bout Jackass.. so i watched it, the 1st episode I seen crazy Daewon Song sticking insane 540 flips on a deck into a staircase! When I seen that I was like... Woah!! and that got me into it.. stuck ever since. I still do it 'cos i'm hooked, i love it and it aint just a sport, its a lifestyle.. a culture and if you can give up something as eternal as skateboarding then you have no passion for it. I can't see myself ever stopping skating
How do you feel about getting sponsored at this present time?
Being sponsored aint no biggie.. i love skating the way it is and i dont want it to change, not even for a deck every week and 10 pairs of shoes a year. I mean, free gear must be awesome, but i don't mind just enjoying skating the way it is
What is the most important thing to you at this moment in time?
Erm............ good question.... i guess it's my youth... no worries, restrictions, house parties every week and skateboarding every day.. i don't want it to end
Is there anyone you'd like to thank for getting you were you are?
Well..... were am I? i'm no where, there is noone to thank.. i mean Emerge to me is emerging from the depths and at the mo im still in them. The only people I can thank are my friends for always pushing me to my physical limits and stepping up every trick I stick. I have to thank my parents for buying a new deck and shoes every half-year and my bro for his first deck. And i have to thank Jesus (the camera guy) for making this all possible and Camel for the invention of Emerge. Cheers Guys
To rap it all up is there any thing you would like to say to the public?
Just go out and skate, things will work out. Skate at your own pace and push yourself but dont run before you can walk. Enjoy everything around you 'cos it wont be there for too long
